Deschiderea oficială BABEL Fast 2022 – Jurnal de festival

Ediţia a X-a a Babel F.A.S.T. a avut deschiderea oficială ieri, 10 iunie, la Cinema Independenţa.

Prima zi de festival a reprezentat revederea cu cei care deja au trecut de la simplul titlu de colaboratori, la statutul de prieteni adevăraţi ai teatrului târgoviştean: Dieter Topp, Jeungwoo Son, Scott Johnston, Vidyanidhee Vanarase.

Tema limbajului încurajează exprimarea liberă a artiştilor prin diferite mijloace de comunicare şi este reprezentativă pentru ideea centrală Babel – multiculturalismul în artele spectacolului.

Cuvintele, semnele, body percussion-ul, beat-boxing-ul, mimica sunt câteva forme de limbaj pe care le-am regăsit în parada Let’s Babel up this town! şi spectacolele de vineri: Al treilea regat (regia: Romeo Castellucci, Italia) şi Ooups! (Belgia).

Tema limbajului nu se rezumă doar la spectacole, ci se regăseşte constant şi în afara scenei, în comunicarea cu şi între invitaţi, board, angajaţi şi voluntari.

Barierele lingvistice au fost disipate încă din prima zi de Babel prin deschiderea şi dorinţa universală de comunicare şi cunoaştere a participanţilor.

The 10th edition of Babel F.A.S.T. had its official opening yesterday, June 10, at Cinema Independenta. The first day of the festival was a reunion with those who have already upgraded from the simple title of collaborators, to the status of true friends of the Targoviste theater: Dieter Topp, Jeungwoo Son, Scott Johnston and Vidyanidhee Vanarase.

The theme of ‘language’ encourages the free expression of artists through various means of communication and is representative for the central idea of Babel – multiculturalism in the performing arts. Words, signs, body percussion, beat-boxing, mime are some of the forms of language that could be found in the Let’s Babel up this town! and this Friday’s shows: The Third Reich (directed by Romeo Castellucci, Italy) and Ooups! (Belgium). The language theme is not limited to shows, but is constantly found outside the stage, in communication with and between guests, the board, employees and volunteers. Language barriers have been dispelled since day one by Babel through the openness and universal desire for communication and knowledge of the participants.
